Week 9
Home stretch! Yet again I want to shout out my entire team and the progress we have made since the begging of the quarter (which feels like it was quite long ago at this point).
Our notes from the mentors where mainly pertaining to the color of our shots and making sure that the brightness of our later shots is maintained in the earlier ones. Luckily we got some notes saying that the bed looked very comfortable from them as well as two visiting artists from Framestore NYC, meaning we are past the cold “hospital bed” days! It was specifically mentioned that our backgrounds for some of the shots were much darker that others and changed shot by shot. I have been making these backgrounds in comp for each specific shot out of a combination of noise and a constant color. To speed up this process for multiple shots I ended up creating my own simple gizmo so I could stop rebuilding every time.
Background Setup
Controls and Result
Our team has been focused on getting renders out and making sure they meet the correct settings for lower noise levels. To track our progress I created a spreadsheet cataloging our shots, as well as the lighting, render, and comp notes for the two week 8 critiques. I also created drop downs to show what stage the task is in. I don’t know why
Look at all that green!
Here is our updated contact sheet going into this week!
